QSINET Frequently Asked Questions
What is QSINET?
QSINET is a World Wide Web site designed specifically to enable dental practitioners to benefit from the unique capabilities of the Internet. QSINET delivers a broad range of services, and links your practice into the rapidly-growing electronic commerce network that is developing on the Internet. QSINET provides continuing dental education, supply ordering, and links to practice marketing and dental consulting services in addition to many other valuable dental web sites. One of the most exciting services available through QSINET is NetDDS.
What is
?
NetDDS is a revolutionary system for managing your dental practice-a QSI Dental System that you can access via the Internet. NetDDS is easy-to-use, minimizes your office automation costs, and connects your practice to your patients and payors. Your practice is given Internet access to a separate, secure database on a QSI Dental System computer maintained by QSI, saving your practice significant investment dollars.
Do I get full practice management functionality
with
?
Yes. NetDDS delivers all the functionality you expect from a practice management system: insurance processing, treatment planning, appointment scheduling, patient billing, receivables and collections, and comprehensive management reporting.
What do I get from
that my current software doesn't give me?
With NetDDS, you get so much more than "standard" practice management system functionality. Since it operates over the Internet, your practice becomes connected to the extensive and growing electronic commerce network. NetDDS links your practice into the "3-P Connection" - Providers, Patients, and Payors. NetDDS connects them all together through the Internet, providing the ultimate in practice automation.
The NetDDS connection with payors allows you to submit insurance claims electronically, speeding payments and greatly reducing the paper processing that normally would have to be done in your office; it also provides the ability to electronically submit utilization and encounter data for participating plans. Future plans for NetDDS include on-line insurance and managed care benefits and fee schedules as well as patient eligibility verification.
The NetDDS connection with patients improves your communication with them: you can submit electronic patient statements, again saving time and labor; you can e-mail appointment reminder notices, treatment recalls, referral letters, or any other communication to patients who have e-mail addresses. QSINET will in the future allow your practice to design and publish your own home page on the Internet to better market your services.
How easy is
to learn and use?
NetDDS is probably the easiest practice management system to learn and use. For QSI, the foremost design priority has been to make NetDDS very intuitive to the user with software that follows routine business processes (e.g., begin day, patient check-in and check-out, appointment scheduling and retrieval, revenue collection, and others). Each screen clearly guides the user through the proper procedures, and all the buttons and links are labeled clearly.
Secondly, NetDDS performs most of the system processing functions for you, such as electronic claims submission, electronic statements processing, and automated after-hours report generation. This lowers the learning curve, and allows you and your staff to spend more time focusing on your patients.
What staffing needs will I have with
?
NetDDS was designed to be very user-friendly and easy-to-use, with much of the system processing removed from the dental office and handled for you by QSI. In fact, if your practice uses the NetDDS to its full potential, you should actually find that your staff time is reduced, since many of the functions they now perform using an in-house practice management system or your current manual processes are either simplified or fully-automated by using NetDDS.
